SPRING 2012 VARSITY CREW RACING SCHEDULE

April 7th (Sat.): Brunswick – Tabor Cup

Competition: Tabor Academy, Stonington HS, and Pomfret School
Location: Pomfret School boathouse, Quassett Lake, Woodstock, CT
Boats: 3 or 4 eights (most likely no freshmen)

April 14th (Sat.): Richard Curtis Trophy

Competition: Salisbury School
Location: Salisbury School boathouse, Lake Washinee, Salisbury, CT
Boats: 4 of 5 eights

April 21st (Sat.): Farmington High School

Competition: Farmington High School
Location: Farmington/Miss Porter’s boathouse, Farmington, CT
Boats: 5 or 6 eights

April 28th (Sat.): Practice (HOME)

May 6th (Sun.): Founder’s Day Regatta (hosted by The Gunnery)
May 7th (Mon.): no practice

Competition: 18 schools total
Location: Lake Waramoug, Washington, CT
Boats: 6 fours (mostly Varsity, some freshmen)

May 12th (Sat.): Connecticut Championships (hosted by Kent School)

Competition: East Lyme HS, Farmington HS, Kent School, Salisbury School, Simsbury HS
Location: Lake Waramoug, Washington, CT
Boats: 4 or 5 eights (mostly Varsity, some freshmen)

*May 18th and 19th (Fri./Sat.) Stotesbury Cup Regatta

Competition: largest high school regatta in the world
Location: Schuylkill River, Philadelphia, PA
Boats: Varsity Eight, plus (possibly) 2nd Eight and Freshmen Eight

**May 26th (Sat.) New England Championships (NEIRA) @ Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester, MA

Competition: all the New England high schools
Location: Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester, MA
Boats: Varsity Eight, 2nd Eight, 3rd Eight

* the team will be staying overnight in Philly on Thursday and Friday nights; transportation, hotel, and meal arrangements will be taken care of for the boys.

** the team will be staying overnight in Worcester on Friday, May 25th; transportation, hotel, and meal arrangements have been taken care of for the boys. The boys will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Worcester and having a team dinner at Leo’s the night before the racing.
